The Best Complete Pro Scooters Under $200 for 2021

Posted by Wyatt Walker on 31st Jul 2021

When it comes to shopping for a new complete pro scooter the $200 price range is hands down the most popular price range and more specifically the scooters priced at $199 tends to be the sweet spot where the different manufacturers compete for the top complete. Most riders in this price range are typically beginner to intermediate riders looking to upgrade to a better complete or just get into the sport for the first time. The $200 range boasts the best value or bang for your buck and in recent years the manufacturers have really stepped it up and developed absolutely incredible complete scooters with seriously pro level parts on them. The $200 level scooters of today can handle virtually anything an intermediate rider can throw at them. In other words there has never been a better time to be in the market for a $200 level complete.

The complete pro scooters in this list are what we consider to be the absolute best pro scooters under $200 on the market right now in 2021. However price isn’t everything as there are some important things to keep in mind when purchasing a new complete. But since this list is focused on the $200 and under level, let’s make sure you are looking at the right models as there are a couple things to consider when shopping for a complete pro scooter:

Sizing:

Sizing is probably the most important factor when deciding what pro scooter to purchase. It’s important to understand that pro scooters come in a range of sizes, and for a beginner or someone new to the sport figuring out sizing can be a little tricky. Since this list is focused on covering the $200 range of scooters, I can make sizing these completes easy for you. The manufacturers develop this range of scooters to be what we like to call “One Size Fits Most”, we typically recommend these scooters for riders as young as 11 (4’10”) on the short end all the way up to teens and adults (5’ 9”) for some of the taller models in the list. The most important thing is that the rider is comfortable on the scooter and the handlebars aren’t excessively tall or short for the rider. For the $200 level scooter this covers the vast majority of pre teens, teens, and even some adults up to 5’8. But to make it easy on each model I list the recommended height range of riders.

Envy Prodigy S8 Pro Scooter - $199.95

The Envy Prodigy Pro Scooter is the hands down undisputed best selling complete at the $199.99 price point. Envy is a true pro scooter brand as you won’t see they’re complete’s on the shelf at a big box store and every pro scooter rider knows Envy as one of the top brands. Envy continues to dominate the market with the Prodigy complete which has seen 8 iterations since its inception. The prodigy is in our opinion the best value complete pro scooter for $199.95, as it is incredibly balanced and features “pro” level parts like Aluminum “Reaper Style” bars for the regular model, Deck Cut-Outs to make the scooter lighter and even the slightly bigger 120mm wheels vs 110mm which you’ll see on almost every other scooter in this list.

Bar Height: 24.5” Tall (Ideal for a rider 4’9” - 5’7”)

Envy Prodigy S8 Pro Scooter “Street Edition” - $199.95

The Envy Prodigy Pro Scooter also comes in a Street Edition Model. This model is a slightly taller version and designed for a “Street Riding Style” look with slightly taller T style bars and Boxed Deck ends. This scooter can still be ridden at the skatepark but will be comfortable for a taller or street rider who wants those taller T bars and a more relaxed riding style.

Bar Height: 25.6” Tall (Ideal for a rider 5” - 5’8”)

Fuzion Z-350 Pro Scooter - $179.95

The Fuzion Z-350 is the new kid on the list. Fuzion has really stepped it up with their 2021 range and has thrown some heat at it’s rival Envy. Fuzion is a top brand in the sport and is on a mission to unseat Envy from the throne of $199 scooters. Equipped with the legendary Entropy deck, Aluminum bars & fork, and 110mm hollowcore wheels… there’s nothing this scooter can’t handle.

The Boxed Z350 is Fuzion's street destroyer! This complete features Fuzion's first boxed deck, which is ideal for street style riding. It is ideal because it gives riders a larger point to lock into various grinds. This scooter is also great for the larger rider, as it comes with 26" tall handlebars, and a deck that is 20.5" long by 5" wide. Fuzion has clearly put thought into this deck, as it features dropout reinforcements which will prevent your deck from bending inward from grinding!

The Aztek Fountain Pro Scooter was all new last year and it's back for 2021 better and stronger than ever before. The Aztek Fountain is the best authentic street complete on the list as it comes from the guys at Aztek, some pioneers in street scootering. It’s well built, has the largest deck out of any on the list (recommended for street riding) and has high quality and strong SCS compression. Not to mention it has Aztek’s signature red anodized hardware so everyone knows that’s an Aztek.

Bar Height: 26” Tall (Ideal for a rider 5’1” - 5’9”)

It’s perfect for skateparks and more specifically ramp and air style tricks. Ethic is highly regarded as one of the most innovative and premier pro scooter brands on the market. The only thing that keeps this scooter from the top of the list is the ICS10 Compression. It’s the only complete on the market that uses ICS10 which is a great light weight compression but it can be a little harder to work on to tighten the compression and to take the bars on and off.

Bar Height: 24.4” Tall (Ideal for a rider 4”8” - 5’6”)

Madd Gear Origin Team Pro Scooter - $199.95
