The Envy Prodigy S8 Pro Scooter is unlike any other pre-built complete scooter on the market today. The Prodigy S8 is a testament to just how far Pro Scooter design has come. Every year Envy unveils this scooter, Envy wants to show the world a new direction in scooter design, and what happens when you hand-select only the very best parts and assemble them into one masterpiece. This year the Series 8 comes in 6 jaw-dropping colorways, including Jade, Burntpipe, Oil Slick, Scratch, Gold & Venom. For 2020 Envy lightened up the Prodigy S8 where possible to prove that strength does not have to come with a weight disadvantage. The Envy Prodigy S8 is built up using the Aluminum Reaper Bars with the new GAP Core Wheels in 120mm x 24mm with an 86a urethane rating, and a 6061-T6 Aluminum deck that features a new cutout on the bottom to reduce weight and maintain performance making it the highest spec’d pro scooter of all time under $200! What's New For The Envy Prodigy Series 8 Pro Scooter?

The Envy Prodigy S8 Pro Complete Scooter is all new for 2020. Envy continues to dominate the pro scooter market with the undisputed best selling Envy Prodigy. We are blown away by how each year Envy continues to make the prodigy better and better. A huge improvement over last year is weight savings. An already light pro scooter became even lighter thanks to the use of the all new Aluminum Reaper Bars. Compared to last year's chromoly bar, the aluminum bars allow Envy to achieve a less than 8 pound complete (7.55lbs) according to our scale! We dare you to find a lighter $199 complete on the market today. Envy not only moved to an Aluminum bar but also achieved weight savings by creating a more efficient and stronger bottom deck cut out and also added a holographic decal to really pop. Another exciting improvement this year is the release of the Envy Prodigy Street Edition, with taller T bars and understated yet clean colors. We are excited to offer 8 different jaw dropping color ways between the park and street editions, so the hardest part might be which one to pick! The Prodigy also sets the standard for quality. The Prodigy is by far one of our best selling completes and we receive less warranties on the Prodigy than any other scooter we sell. It’s that amazing! Basically, If you want the best looking, highest quality, greatest performing and most affordable pro scooter on the market, look no further than the Envy Prodigy S8!

What's The Difference Between the Prodigy and the Colt and KOS models?

Starting with the Envy Colt. The Colt is the entry level freestyle scooter built for the younger beginner rider. The scooter all around is smaller than the Prodigy and KOS with it's smaller deck and bar dimension. The Colt makes a perfect for beginner riders ages 6 to about 11 but these ages can range based on height and weight. See our Sizing Guide. The KOS range has the largest deck and bars of all Envy models ideal for taller riders. This puts the Prodigy S8 right in the middle. Because the Prodigy bar and deck dimensions fit riders from all but the youngest beginners to it is the most popular pro scooter in the Envy lineup. Whether you ride park or street the Prodigy will perform in either discipline. In fact the Prodigy features all of the pro scooter parts found on the KOS pro scooter (including aluminum bars) for nearly $100 less, which is really what makes it the most popular scooter in the world among riders from beginners to pros. The Prodigy boasts 120mm spoked core wheels and IHC compression, both of which are pro scooter parts found on the KOS lineup. With the addition of aluminum bars, the Prodigy trims weight in the 8th series, making it one of the lightest scooters on the planet! Other than the spoked core wheels, rather than the hollow cores found on the KOS range, the only thing that differentiates the Prodigy from its big brother is bar and deck dimensions. Did we mention that the Prodigy has 6 brilliant color ways that, we at Kryptic Pro Scooters believe, are some of the most innovative and coolest in the industry!

What Kind Of Rider Is The Prodigy Suitable For?

We find that most Prodigy buyers are beginner riders who are graduating to an intermediate pro scooter, or intermediate riders. Typically, riders ages 8 all the way up to 16 can ride the prodigy. Height ranges vary but typically anywhere from 4' 10" - 5' 8" can comfortably ride the scooter. This range varies to rider preference. The regular edition prodigy bar sits 34.4" from the ground. Typically the bar should be around the waist below the belly button but above the middle of the hip when you are not standing on the deck. This is generally the sweet spot. See our Sizing Guide.

Is the Prodigy S8 a Park or Street Scooter?

The distinction between park and street is mainly a style. The Envy Prodigy was initially built and made for the skate park, however it also performs well on the street. New for 2020 Envy saw the need and created a dedicated "Street Edition" which boasts a taller T bar and boxed deck making it a more comfortable street oriented scooter. The boxed ends allows for more grind space and the taller T bar a more relaxed riding style. No matter what you ride The Envy Prodigy S8 is right at home doing both, whether cruising the streets like with your buddies Jon Reyes or throwing down some big air in the skate park like our boy Raymond Warner!

Assembly Instructions:

Your Prodigy arrives 95% assembled. You will only need to put on the bar. The deck, forks, wheels, and headset have all been pre-assembled. The bars, grips, and clamp have also been assembled. Within 4 minutes of opening your new pro scooter, you can be headed out to the skate park. Simply slide the bars over the fork IHC compression shim, straighten the bars to lineup with your front wheel, and tighten the 2 clamp bolts. When tightening the clamp bolts, tighten the top clamp bolt one turn, then tighten the bottom clamp bolt one turn. Repeat the tightening process until both bolts are tight. This allows the clamp to be tightened evenly. Be careful not to strip the bolts. Always use a metric 6mm Allen key. One is provided in the owners manual baggy.

Envy Scooters Warranty:

Envy includes a 12 month manufacturers warranty on hardware failure excluding wear and tear. All warranties will be void if this product is modified in any way. This includes using after-market products, poor maintenance, abuse or misuse.
